Enterotoxin (SE) is a pathogenic substance that causes Staphylococcus aureus food poisoning. According to its antigenicity, it can be divided into 8 serotypes A-E and G-I, of which SEA is the most common. Enterotoxins in food are not easily inactivated during processing and can cause symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhea. In severe cases, they can cause multiple organ dysfunction and be life-threatening. This kit is a new generation of Staphylococcus aureus total enterotoxin (SET) detection product using ELISA, which can minimize operating errors and work intensity.
Principle of Test
This kit adopts double antibody sandwich ELISA method. Precoat the total amount of Staphylococcus aureus enterotoxin antibody on the microplate. Both the total amount of precoated enterotoxin antibody and detection antibody bind to the enterotoxin in the sample at the same time. And then the complex combines with the HRP-conjugate to form an antibody-enterotoxin-antibody-enzyme-HRP-conjugate, which can be colored by TMB substrate. The absorbance of the sample is positively correlated with the content of Staphylococcus aureus enterotoxin.

Concentrated Wash Buffer (10×) and deionized water V: V=1:9 mix well.
2. Stop Solution
Add 10mL of 18M concentrated sulfuric acid (H2SO4) to 80mL deionized water slowly with stirring and mix well for use. The solution could be stored at room temperature for 2 months.
3. Sodium Hydroxide Solution
Prepare 10mL of 1M sodium hydroxide.
