Background:
Tetracyclines is an antibiotic (antimycobacterial) drug, the first of a class of drugs called aminoglycosides to be discovered, and it was the first effective treatment for tuberculosis. It is derived from the actinobacterium streptomyces griseus. Tetracycline is a bactericidal antibiotic.
Adverse effects of this medicine are ototoxicity, nephrotoxicity, fetal auditory toxicity, and neuromuscular paralysis.
Use Principles：
Tetracyclines (TCs) ELISA Kit is an indirect competitive enzyme-labeled immunoassay. The tetracyclines antigen is precoated on the wells. The precoated antigen compete the tetracyclines antibody (antibody solution) with tetracyclines in the sample, anti-tetracyclines antibody binds to the tetracyclines-HRP enzyme conjugate. Then pipet the substrate solutions to the wells to convert the color.
The color of unknown samples is compared to the color of the standards and the tetracyclines concentration of the samples is derived.
