【Summary】
Gentamicin (GEN) belongs to aminoglycoside antibiotics, mainly acting on Gram-negative bacteria. It is widely used in veterinary clinics and animal feed additives due to its broad antibacterial spectrum, good efficacy, and low price. However, the serum effective concentration of GEN is very similar to the toxic concentration, and the safety range is small. It is easy to produce toxic and side effects during its application. Especially, the use of large doses is not standardized, which may easily lead to excessive GEN residues in animal food and pose a hazard to human health. Severe damage to cranial nerves, hearing and kidneys.
【Principles】
Gentamicin ELISA Test Kit is an indirect competitive enzyme-labeled immunoassay. The gentamicin antigen is precoated on the wells. The precoated antigen compete the gentamicin antibody (antibody solution) with sulfonamides in the sample, anti-gentamicin antibody binds to the gentamicin-HRP enzyme conjugate. Then pipette the substrate solutions to the wells to convert the color.
The color of unknown samples is compared to the color of the standards and the gentamicin concentration of the samples is derived.
【Cross Reactivity】
Gentamicin 100%
