Background:
Streptomycin is an antibiotic (antimycobacterial) drug, the first of a class of drugs called aminoglycosides to be discovered, and it was the first effective treatment for tuberculosis. It is derived from the actinobacterium Streptomyces griseus. Streptomycin is a bactericidal antibiotic. Adverse effects of this medicine are ototoxicity, nephrotoxicity, fetal auditory toxicity, and neuromuscular paralysis.
Use Principles:
Streptomycin (TCs) ELISA Kit is an indirect competitive enzyme-labeled immunoassay. The Streptomycin antigen is precoated on the wells. The precoated antigen compete the Streptomycin antibody (antibody solution) with Streptomycin in the sample, anti- Streptomycin antibody binds to the Streptomycin-HRP enzyme conjugate. Then pipette the substrate solutions to the wells to convert the color.
The color of unknown samples is compared to the color of the standards and the Streptomycin concentration of the samples is derived.
