Summary】 

Nitrofurans, which are effective against a wide range of bacteria. The metabolites of nitrofuran drugs are furacilin metabolite (SEM), furaltadone metabolite (AMOZ), furazolidone metabolite (AOZ), and furantoin metabolite (AHD), which combined with proteins stably. Therefore, the detection of their metabolites is often used to reflect the residual status of nitrofuran drugs. The food and drug administration has prohibited all uses of nitrofuran drugs in food-producing animals because they pose a public health risk. Evidence indicates that the drugs may induce carcinogenic residues in animal tissues.

【Use Principles】 

Furantoin Metabolite (AHD) ELISA Test Kit is an indirect competitive enzyme-labeled immunoassay. The AHD antigen is precoated on the wells. The precoated antigen compete the AHD antibody (antibody solution) with AHD in the sample, anti-AHD antibody binds to the AHD-HRP enzyme conjugate. Then pipette the substrate solutions to the wells to convert the color.

The color of unknown samples is compared to the color of the standards and the AHD concentration of the samples is derived.
