【Summary】
Salbutamol, also known as albuterol, it is a β-agonist drug, which belongs to a group of synthetic compounds affecting β-adrenergic agonist receptors located in all body tissues, including the skeletal muscle. The positive effects of β-agonist as a feed additive in farm animals, including improved feed efficiency, increased growth rate, altered adipose accretion, increased muscle mass in meat producing animals. In the early nineties, following intoxication outbreaks attributed to consumption of livers from cattle treated with β-agonist, salbutamol is forbidden to use in food animals by the European Union.
【Principles】
Salbutamol ELISA Kit is an indirect competitive enzyme-labeled immunoassay. The Salbutamol antigen is precoated on the wells. The precoated antigen compete the Salbutamol antibody (Antibody Solution) with Salbutamol in the sample, Salbutamol antibody binds to the Salbutamol Enzyme Conjugate. After the color development of TMB Substrate, the absorbance value of the sample is negatively correlated with the Salbutamol contained in it. Compared with the standard curve and multiplied by its corresponding dilution factor, the content of Salbutamol in the sample can be calculated.
【Cross Reactivity】
Salbutamol 100%
